I want to dive in and challenge myself, I want to feel out of my depth and get on another extreme learning curve. I’m curious and I need to take some time to scratch my itch.
I am surrounded by makers posting new things every day. I like launching because I like learning. I got this job by launching a side project. Twitter: is no shock to anyone who knows me that I have a bit of an addiction to side projects. There are many reasons for this. Reach out if you have anything interesting you want to discuss (intros welcomed).Īreas of interest early stage startups, funding/investing, portfolio management and enabling more people to become makers. I don’t want to jump into anything too soon but I am available for opportunities (remote OK). I’m excited to see what’s next from the team, especially alongside the AngelList family. I was a Product Hunt community member before I was hired and I shall continue to be long after my last day at the company. It’s the best online community out there. Having been part of the Community team, you get to see a lot. Community building is hard, it requires empathy and is constantly growing and changing in ways in which you have to adapt. I’ve learnt so much, seen tens of thousands of products launch, worked with amazing companies & funds, met some amazing people, launched a ton of side projects, been part of the AngelList acquisition and seen the Product Hunt community grow and thrive. Words can’t describe how these last two years have gone. It seems odd to be announcing that I will be leaving the Product Hunt & AngelList family but my last day will be August 31st 2017. It will forever be a date remembered in my diary.
